Asset mapping: from charts to tickers

The charts on this site teach a century of lessons with seven abstract asset classes. This page answers the last step for readers with a mainland China brokerage account: which exchange-traded instruments correspond to each class. Every mapping lists the ticker, the tracked index, and a verification date. They are representative examples of a class, not a recommended list; most classes have several similar products, so check current fees and size yourself.

Three hard edges

First, QDII funds (US, Japan/Europe, Hong Kong exposure) trade at premiums and face purchase quotas as a matter of routine — buying at a fat premium is a loss booked in advance, so check IOPV before ordering. Second, commodity-futures ETFs share names with unrelated equity ETFs ("nonferrous"); trust codes, not names. Third, the mainland market currently has no broad developed-market fund and no mature broad REITs vehicle; this page leaves those cells honestly blank rather than force-filling them. Verified 2026-07-10; exchange and fund-company announcements rule.

Developed markets

No single onshore fund covers MSCI World or developed markets as a whole. The closest is a handful of single-country QDII ETFs (Japan / Germany / France) — each concentrated, small, and thinly traded, not a developed-market broad fund.

Commodities

Trust codes, not names: only the three below actually hold commodity-futures contracts. Same-named equity ETFs (e.g. "nonferrous ETF 512400") hold stocks instead — an entirely different exposure. Includes roll yield.

As of the verification date, mainland public REITs are all single-project products — you can only trade individual REITs on-exchange (an industrial park, a toll road, a rental-housing project). There is no broad, continuously-tradable REITs index ETF; the first CSI REITs total-return index funds were only approved in June 2026, with limited size and liquidity. This page leaves the cell blank rather than force-fill a ticker.
